Deeply personal, Rapp embraces her chaotic life and sexuality in the 33-minute play, with witty lyrics and storytelling shining through 12 tracks. Unfortunately, the album feels a bit unfocused, like two EPs mashed together: fun early 2000s-inspired steamy pop tracks intertwined with Rapp’s signature slow emotional ballads. This leads to a couple of jarring transitions, but the poppier tracks such as Mad, Leave Me Alone, Kiss It Kiss, and Shy are real standouts and hopefully form the basis for her future work.
